Hi James,
Straight up — this is outreach. I came across Zone3 while looking at UK triathlon brands with a serious Shopify presence, and the King's Award in International Trade caught my attention.
I put this page together so you can see what we actually looked at before getting in touch.
You founded Zone3 in 2009 as a former elite triathlete, and built it into the UK's leading triathlon brand with serious international traction — UK, USA and beyond. The King's Award for Enterprise in International Trade in 2024 is a meaningful validation of that growth.
Wetsuits, triathlon kit, swimwear, run and cycle accessories — physical products designed by someone who's actually raced at the top level. That origin story and product credibility is genuinely hard to replicate.
From visiting the store, it's well-run and clearly functional. But for a brand selling internationally across multiple markets, with triathlon-specific product complexity (sizes, suit types, technical specs), there's usually a growing list of things that need dev attention: better product filtering, international checkout flows, market-specific pricing, performance improvements, new integrations as the business scales.
These things matter for conversion — especially when you're driving paid traffic globally and competing for international customers. But they rarely get done consistently without dedicated dev resource.
You've funded growth from revenue, no investors, no bank loans — which means the brand is genuinely healthy and the decisions are yours. A Shopify retainer would be an investment in the store working as hard as the rest of the business, continuously, rather than in occasional bursts when there's capacity to deal with it.
We're Identify Digital — a UK web development agency based in Wakefield. We work with Shopify stores as their retained dev team. Not project-by-project — a retainer, so we learn the store and are genuinely available when things need doing. We start with a free taster: a small fix or improvement from your list, no cost, no obligation, just to show how we work.
If dev resource is something you need more of, the simplest next step is a quick conversation.
