Leeds Mechanical and Electrical Services

Hi Danny,

This is outreach -- I'll be straight about that. We build job management and scheduling platforms for M&E contractors and field service businesses.

I put this page together so you can see what we actually looked at before getting in touch, rather than just taking my word for it.

Context -- What you've built

A three-strand group serving some of the most complex commercial projects in Yorkshire

You're operating three distinct service lines from the same base -- LMES handling commercial M&E for developers, LES covering domestic electrical engineering, and LRS doing large-scale roof solar and PV farms. Each strand has different job types, different compliance requirements, and different client relationships.

Trusted partners on office complexes, apartment buildings and student accommodation developments means you're typically running multiple live projects simultaneously, with engineers scheduled across different sites at different stages of design, install and commissioning.

Signal -- Coordination overhead

Managing engineers across multiple live sites without a central system creates real risk as the order book grows

End-to-end M&E across commercial developments -- design, install, commissioning, support -- involves a lot of moving parts. Quoting, engineer scheduling, site attendance records, compliance sign-offs, variations, billing. In our experience with similar contractors, the admin overhead grows faster than the headcount as the pipeline fills up.

We couldn't find a visible job management or client portal system on your website. That doesn't mean you don't have one internally, but it's the pattern we look for when thinking about who might benefit from something bespoke.

Positive -- The market you're in

Commercial development in Yorkshire is active

Office complexes, apartment blocks, student accommodation -- these are long-cycle projects with detailed scope, compliance sign-off, and handover documentation. Clients at this level expect professional reporting and clear audit trails. A platform that puts all of that in one place is hard to argue against when you're pitching for the next contract.

What a platform for LMES might include

  • Job booking and project setup -- site details, scope, client, start dates
  • Engineer scheduling and dispatch -- who's where, when, with what
  • Mobile site apps -- attendance, sign-off, photos, notes in the field
  • Quoting and variations -- linked to the job record
  • Compliance tracking -- certs, test results, sign-offs per installation
  • Client reporting -- project status, milestones, handover documentation
  • Billing triggers -- raise invoices from completed stages

We offer a paid half-day Operations Audit -- on-site, produces a process map, gap analysis, and a system blueprint. If you go ahead with a build, the audit fee comes off the cost.
