Hi Tommy,
Straight up, this is outreach. I came across Jottnar while looking at UK outdoor clothing brands with a serious Shopify presence, and the store ticked every box we look for.
I put this page together so you can see what we actually looked at before reaching out.
Founded in 2011 by two former Royal Marine commandos, you design and sell technical mountain and outdoor clothing for climbing, skiing and adventure. The UK and USA presence, the pro team, the product development philosophy — it's a brand built on genuine expertise, not marketing fluff.
Over 5,000 five-star reviews on Judge.me is a strong signal. That's a customer base that actually tests the product in demanding conditions and comes back to buy again.
From visiting the store, it's clean and functional. But for a brand selling premium technical products at £150-400+, with both UK and international customers, there's usually a growing list of things that need dev work: better size and technical spec filtering, improved collection navigation, international checkout experience, performance improvements, new integrations.
These things matter for conversion — especially when you're sending paid traffic or working with a pro team that drives organic search. But they rarely get done consistently without dedicated resource.
The brand, the product, the customer experience — that's clearly right. Our job would be to make the technical side of the store work as hard as the rest of it, continuously, rather than in occasional bursts.
We're Identify Digital — a UK web development agency based in Wakefield. We work with Shopify stores as their retained dev team. Not project-by-project — a retainer, so we learn the store and are genuinely available when things need doing. We start with a free taster: a small fix or improvement from your list, no cost, no obligation, just to show how we work.
If dev resource is something you need more of, the simplest next step is a quick conversation.
