Harrison Solway Logistics

Hi Lee,

I'll be straight — this is a cold approach. We build bespoke operational systems for logistics and distribution businesses.

I came across Harrison Solway while researching haulage companies in Yorkshire and wanted to get in touch properly. This page shows what we actually looked at.

What we found — The business

You've built a seriously credentialed logistics operation over 25+ years in Hull

Inaugural Pallet-Track shareholding member. 100,000+ sq ft of warehouse space. FORS Gold certified. BRCGS and Soil Association approved. HMRC Customs Bonded facility. Road Haulage Association and UKWA members. Nationwide distribution with real-time tracking. That's not a list you build without consistent delivery.

The move to larger premises at Kingston International Business Park in October 2024 suggests the operation is still growing — and growing complexity usually means growing admin pressure.

Something we noticed — Internal coordination

Haulage, warehousing, packing and customs bonding — how does that all get coordinated?

You're running multiple service lines: core haulage, Pallet-Track network distribution, warehouse management, contract packing, and a customs bonded facility. Each has its own planning, compliance and documentation requirements. When a shipment spans multiple service lines — say, bonded storage through to pallet distribution — the coordination between teams and the compliance trail gets complex quickly.

From the website there's no obvious client portal or internal operations system visible. In logistics businesses at this scale, that coordination often runs across separate systems that don't talk to each other.

"Harrison Solway have been providing our pallet network distribution via their Pallet-Track network for over 15 years, and both Harrison Solway's and Pallet-Track's service levels are first class."

A question — Compliance documentation

With Soil Association, BRCGS and HMRC customs certifications, how is documentation managed?

These accreditations require significant audit trails — temperature records, chain of custody documentation, customs declarations, consignment records. Managing that across multiple service lines and a large warehouse is a real admin burden if it's not in a purpose-built system.

Positive — Strong foundations

25 years, multiple certifications and a growing operation

The credentials you've built tell a clear story: a reliable, well-run logistics business that takes compliance seriously. Any system we built would be designed to make those compliance requirements easier to manage, not to change how the operation works.

What we could help with

  • Warehouse management — stock in, stock out, location tracking and inventory across 100,000 sq ft
  • Pallet network integration — live Pallet-Track status feeding into your own operations dashboard
  • Contract packing management — production runs, materials tracking and completion reporting
  • Customs bonded documentation — consignment records, duty tracking and HMRC compliance trail
  • Fleet and driver management — vehicle compliance, tachograph data and route planning
  • Client portal — shipment tracking, documentation downloads and order history

How we work

We're Identify Digital, based in Wakefield. We build bespoke systems using AI to work faster than traditional development — we can show you a clickable concept of what a purpose-built system for Harrison Solway would look like in about a week, no cost, no obligation. We'd come to Hull for the first conversation.

If any of this sounds worth exploring, the easiest next step is a conversation.
