Specsavers, one of the UK’s leading eye care providers, approached us to build a business management system to automate and simplify some of the admin heavy processes in a number of their stores. As a well known and trusted brand, Specsavers needed a system that would help their optometrists and front of house staff whilst also providing management tools to act and report on the data.
Specsavers stores were bogged down with administrative tasks, particularly in HR and daily operational reporting, taking time away from customer service.
The current processes for managing HR tasks such as uniform requests and performance logging were inefficient and needed a centralised system to simplify these processes.
Management needed a system that could provide real-time data and allow for quick decision making based on data from multiple stores.
The solution had to be easy to use for optometrists and front of house staff, minimal learning curve and high adoption rates.
We built a bespoke business management system using Laravel, a powerful PHP framework known for its scalability and performance. The system automated and simplified the admin heavy processes in Specsavers stores.
The system included an HR portal where staff could submit uniform requests, log daily performances and request bonus payments. The portal centralised all HR tasks, reducing manual paperwork and improving efficiency.
An intelligent day sheet management feature was added to the system where staff could log daily performances. This feature gave management real-time data on store operations so they could make quick decisions.
The system also had easy access to a library of business resources so staff could find what they needed quickly. This feature was designed to help staff be more efficient and productive by reducing time spent searching for resources.
