Currently we have two amazing clients who are doing something extra to help others, both for separate causes however sharing the task of cycling.

Adrian Harvey – Managing Director of “Elephants Don’t Forget”

Adrian is undertaking a 100 mile cycle ride around our capital at the end of July. Which is nearly the equivalent of riding the distance of the M62. The riders will start at the olympic park and tackling 100 miles of London’s streets before finishing up on the Mall.

Adrian’s charity of choice – Tusk Trust

Tusk Trust are a charity geared towards preventing wildlife crime and alleviating poverty in Africa. This charity is backed by The Duke of Cambridge and future King, Prince William.

In the past 3 years over 100,000 African elephants have been slaughtered and has caused them to decline by 64% in the past decade. According to www.worldelephantday.org there are only 400,000 elephants left roaming the earth so something needs to be done now in order to protect the species.

Elephants are just a small part of Tusk, with 45 live projects you money will go far in helping those in Africa.

Christina Shaw – Director of “Glass News” & “Fenestra Build”

Christina is undertaking a monumental challenge called paddle2pedal which is run by GM Fundraising. In total Christina will complete a distance of 220 miles. The first stage is 100 miles canoeing followed by an abseil and then to top it off a 120 mile cycle where they will meet some children and families from Hope House, Christina’s charity of choice. To put that challenge in perspective it’s almost like canoeing and cycling from Holyhead to Bridlington!

Christina’s Charity – Hope House Children’s Hospice.

Hope House provides specialist nursing care and support to children with conditions so serious that they are not expected to reach adulthood.

Hope House help seriously ill children enjoy the best possible quality of life and make the most of every moment – with as much happiness and fulfilment as possible. They provide specialist nursing, palliative care, and activities that involve and develop them while helping them have fun.

They also offer support to their parents and families through this clearly stressful time. Additionally to this they also offer bereavement support to any family whether their child had been care for at hope house or not.

Both causes are incredibly important and all we ask is for a little sacrifice. Skip your starbucks for a morning and donate it to one of these causes.
